Raising Funds to Cure Crohn’s & Colitis

Take Steps for Crohn's

Hello to all,

Many of you we have seen in recent months and for others it has been a while. I hope this message finds you well and in good spirits.

Once again, on Saturday April 30, our Team MikAddy will be participating in the Triangle Take Steps for Crohn’s & Colitis Walk at Lake Crabtree County Park in Morrisville, NC. CCFA Walks are the nation’s largest events dedicated to finding cures for digestive diseases. Our fundraising goal is $750 for this worthy cause and I need your help to reach this goal!

The Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation of America is the leading non-profit organization dedicated to finding cures for painful and debilitating IBD (Inflammatory Bowel Disease). They have invested more than $200 million in research and they also fund disease-specific education, support, and treatment information. For the 1.4 million Americans who suffer from the debilitating effects of IBD (our daughter, Adelena is one of them) nothing is more important than finding better, more effective treatments, and ultimately, cures.

Take Steps is the foundation’s premier walking event, raising needed funds for their mission of finding cures and improving the quality of life for patients. We hope you will consider supporting our efforts by making a tax-deductible contribution to the Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation. You can donate online or mail your gift to 78 Lauren Rose Lane, Pittsboro, NC 27312. If you feel so led, please inquire if your company has a matching gift program. If so, simply complete the required form and mail it along with your donation to the above address. This is a great way to double your support! With your help, we will fund important research, patient education and support for millions of Americans.

Again, to donate online, follow this link: http://online.ccfa.org/site/TR/TakeSteps/Chapter-Carolinas?team_id=190769&pg=team&fr_id=6064

Click on “Donate” found in the upper right corner. From that menu, select the 3rd choice, which is “Donate.”

If you would like to register as a walker you will see that choice also under the “Donate” button.

“Thank you” are words we use to express appreciation. That expression does not really convey enough, but we hope you know our gratitude is sincerely and deeply felt.

Thank you,
Maria, Greg and Adelena

[Updated January 30 10:30 am.] Come for dinner and lend your support the affordable way on January 30, 2014: 10% of your order will be donated by the Roadhouse to Cinderella’s Closet of Chatham County.

Cinderella’s Closet of Chatham County North Carolina is having their annual benefit at the Pittsboro Roadhouse as they prepare for the 2014 prom season. We’re delighted to be able to support an organization that helps give young people the chance to have a magical evening on their prom night.

Due to the snow and ice, our band for the evening, Lowland Hum from Greensboro had to cancel, but we’re sure to have good music, whether live or not.

Pittsboro Roadhouse, 39 West Street, Downtown Pittsboro

Just order your dinner as you normally would, and 10% goes directly to Cinderella’s Closet.
