Welcome to the Pittsboro Roadhouse & General Store!
We’re very excited to be reopening the amazing community space held by the General Store Cafe for a decade. We welcome all, old friends and new friends, visitors and neighbors.
The Pittsboro Roadhouse & General Store is opening in the middle of August as soon as all the approvals and permits are obtained, and that looks like it will be Friday August 17, 2012.
The ribbon cutting with the Chamber of Commerce was at Noon on Friday August 17, 2012.
We served our first meal to customers on Friday evening at 5 p.m.
At 8 p.m. we featured live music!
We will be tweaking them based on your suggestions and inspiration.
We are tremendously grateful for the incredible support we’ve received from neighbors, our nearby Pittsboro businesses and the press. We really appreciate your welcome.
What will be the same?
The address. It will still be 39 West Street. The wonderful expanded space. The big glass windows that we know as the hallmark of this eatery. A General Store. Good food. Good music. Community events.
What will be different?
New owners. Greg Lewis, with his wife Maria, and three daughters, residents of Pittsboro and long time patrons of the GSC.
A fresh start. New colors, floors, walls, lights, sound system. Updated kitchen.
A new General Store.
You’ll just have to come by and see it.
Come be part of the Pittsboro Roadhouse & General Store. Let’s let the good times roll.
