A Unique Mix of Talent Coming Your Way – Live Music October 1-6, 2013

Start your week off right by listening to the talented Gregory Blaine perform this Tuesday, October 1st during our Tuesday Night Artist Showcase. His acoustic reggae and jazz tunes never fail to impress and his energy on stage is magnetic. Grab a seat early and bring your friends – the music starts at 6:30 p.m., and you won’t want to miss it!

Wednesday Night Karaoke – Wednesday October 2 – 6:30

It’s the first Wednesday of the month again, which means it’s time for karaoke with Pittsboro Roadhouse and Raleigh Event DJ! We know you’ve been practicing in the shower all week, so pick a favorite tune and perform for us this Wednesday, October 2nd. Not interested in being in the limelight? Our performers always love an audience; come listen to our talented patrons. Come down for some dinner and company – we start karaoke at 6:30 p.m.

Looking for a unique sound this week? Look no further than the Pittsboro Roadhouse Stage. John Westmoreland, a classically trained musician with an affinity for capturing a traditional West African style, is joining us this Thursday, October 3rd. You’ll hear a special mix of jazz standards, traditional African tunes, blues, and original composition when the show starts at 7 p.m. Thursday night!

This Motown and R&B band will keep you on your feet all night long this Friday, October 4th. Instruments of Justice is made up of a group of coworkers from a local law firm, these talented musicians want to help you let loose on a Friday night with their combination of soul, R&B, rock, and blues. Start your weekend off on a good foot – the show starts at 8:00 p.m.

Rain Check – Saturday October 5 – 8:00

Rain Check

This acoustic Americana quartet will present an array of cover songs and original tunes this Saturday, October 5th. Rain Check‘s  four guys are all about having fun, so we know you’ll have a blast listening to them. Their folk tunes with a twist will excite you and move you, so grab a seat early and order a good dinner; the show starts at 8:00 p.m.

Pittsboro First Sunday – Sunday October 6, 2013

The fall season of First Sunday’s is special because the weather is usually great, and crafters and artists have been preparing their new items for the holiday season.

First Sunday is noon – 4:00 p.m. Some of the venues will have featured artists, and music, and refreshments.  The Pittsboro Roadhouse opens at 10:30 for Brunch. Acoustic music will be provided by Gregory Blaine. And you’ll have your choice of the Brunch menu or the full Lunch menu to choose from.

Be sure to come by and visit our gift shop as well!

Folk and Country to Start Your Fall Right – Live Music September 17-20

Though it may still feel like summer, fall is approaching quickly here at Pittsboro Roadhouse. Come visit and beat the heat by seeing our cool bands and tasting some of the best food that Chatham County has to offer. These events are exactly what you need after a long day (or week!) hard at work, so grab some friends and family for another week of fun at the Roadhouse!

Gregory Blaine 2013Joining us for our special Tuesday night artist showcase this week, September 17th, will be Gregory Blaine from ROOTZIE. (Rootzie is a favorite on the Roadhouse Stage, and we love their bluesy reggae.) Gregory Blaine is sure to delight with his guitar improvisations with soulful, bluesy and reggae sounds. Start your week off right this Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. in the front dining room.

Wednesday Night Karaoke

Raleigh Event DJ co-hosts this weekly event that will have you singing along to all of your favorite tunes. Pick a few favorites that you typically reserve for the shower, or grab a chair and listen to all of the talent that Pittsboro has to offer. Whether you’re on stage or off, we know you’ll be as impressed by the local talent as we are. Head over here with your friends and grab some dinner and entertainment this Wednesday, September 18th, starting at 6:30 p.m.

Magnolia Klezmer Band

Magnolia Klezmer Band This local folk band will surprise you with how diverse they are this Thursday, September 19th. These musicians come from a wide array of backgrounds, with experience performing Klezmer, Balkan, Jazz, brass band, polka, and classical music. Along with their own tunes, they’ll also be performing a series of Yiddish and Eastern European folk dances that will bring a unique cultural experience to your Thursday night. They’ll make you feel right at home, and by the end of the night, you’ll probably find yourself singing and dancing along. Broaden your horizons this Thursday at 7 p.m. – you won’t want to miss this fascinating band!

Chip Perry BandIf you’re looking for some good country music, then Pittsboro Roadhouse and Chip Perry have you covered! This Friday, September 20th, Chip Perry and his band will show you what country is all about with plenty of familiar covers and a few new originals with a young, unique twist. This local band will have you rocking to classic tunes all night long, so be sure to grab a seat early. John and Caroline Parsons are happy to share their 25 years of stories and songs on the Pittsboro Roadhouse stage this Friday, August 16th. Jerome Hawkes joins the duo as they share the mysteries of live through their ethereal Americana and Bluegrass tunes. You’ll be laughing and smiling for hours as The Parson’s remind you of all the beauties in the world; what more can you ask for on a good Friday night?

You’ll be greeted by Caroline’s lovely voice, a bass, a mandolin, a banjo, and guitars as they rock as they have together for the last fifteen years. Starting at 8 p.m., their folksy style will have you nodding and tapping along. You’ll feel like you’re hanging out with old friends – so call up your college friends and bring them out with you to keep us company!
